Payne prerequisites
All local modes
- Node.js 22 or 24 LTS (

Local-live
- Docker Engine and Docker Compose v2
- at least 2 CPU, 8 GB RAM, and 13 GB available disk
- host ports
3000(Payne web),4310(worker health),8080(DataHub GMS), and9002(DataHub UI) available - local credentials copied from
.env.local-live.example
The Compose profile is local-only. Do not expose its example credentials or services to a public network.
Optional inference
Choose one provider. Gemini requires a server-only API key and an explicit model identifier. Ollama requires a reachable Ollama server and an explicitly pulled model that satisfies Payne’s tool-calling and structured-output contract. Verify either choice on the Connection page before starting analysis.
